MONTHLY MEETING
YUI & JILL CHOW PRESENT: "COMMON SENSE APPROACH IN SELF DEFENSE FROM VERBAL AND PHYSICAL INTIMIDATION"
Friday, September 21 at 7 PM
Yui and Jill Chow present to us self-defense tips if you ever get involved in verbal confrontation with the potential to culminate in physical assault. There are situations when you are in physical danger with no exchange of words before the first blow.
The most important thing to do is to keep your composure so that you can formulate a strategy to escape a volatile situation. If you panic or raise your emotions to the boiling point it will cloud your mind, which will lead to a bad outcome.
We are very happy that Yui Chow, Trustee of the Society of Asian Federal Officers, will be returning to the Center with his wife Jill to talk about valuable tips of maneuvering and escaping situations where there is verbal intimidation and or culmination of possible physical harm. Yui and Jill will demonstrate some tips of self-defense when you have your back against the wall with no escape.
Yui and Jill are master kung fu artists and they have a martial arts studio in New York City. Come to the meeting with a friend and bring snacks to share with your fellow members. Young adults and older teenagers are urged to attend
